Reliable Backup Power for Mission Critical Data Centre Operation
香港
Project Overview
Location:
Hong Kong
Project Type:
To setup the secondary source of power for data centre
Installed Capacity:
4x 2250KW
Objective:
Provide uninterrupted protection for a tier ready facility
Initial Situation
Reliability
As part of the data centre expansion project, the facility required a dependable emergency power solution capable of supporting critical server loads, cooling systems, and network infrastructure during grid power failure. The project demanded synchronized generator operation, automatic transfer capability, and high system reliability within limited installation space. The challenges were further stacked up with a residential surrounding which required a super silence setup
Key Challenges
Uninterrupted uptime requirement
Fast emergency power response
Synchronization of multiple generators
Limited installation space
Environmental and regulatory considerations
Proposed Solution
To support the client’s uptime and resilience objectives, a high-capacity standby power system utilizing four synchronized 2.2MW generator sets was implemented. The solution provided scalable emergency power support with redundancy, intelligent load management, and seamless integration into the facility’s electrical infrastructure to protect mission-critical operations. The set up was done in out of gauge container to cater for the super silence requirements
